About Yzl
Yzl is a female half-Vastaya born on the southern coast of Ionia. She grew up with her human mother, and never knew her Vastayan father until recently. Now, as an adult, she roams the mainland learning various human and Vastayan cultures--even in places she's unwelcome.She looks almost identical to her Lhotlan father, but lacks the distinct 'wing' the race has.Her mother is a Navori native, and her father a Lhotlan Vastaya of Qaelin. Yzl herself was born and raised west of Weh'le, which was also close to Noxian-controlled territory.
After twenty years, Yzl finally found her father. To her surprise, she's somehow suckered the prideful showbird into teaching her the basics of Lhotlan Battledancing.
However, predictably, Yzl's lack of a 'wing' throws off the balance needed for certain maneuvers. She spends a large part of her time trying to adapt each step to her unique situation.
Along the southern Navori shore, Yzl has made a name for herself in aiding those affected by their Noxian neighbors. While some call it petty theft, she simply tracks down and 'returns' goods stolen by those wishing to take advantage of others.And if beating up Noxian soldiers "for fun" doesn't get you some attention, who knows what does.Yzl is also a frequent visitor of the Navori fighting pits, but almost never as a fighter. She's an avid gambler, often placing bets on those she thinks has the highest potential.And if you ever see her enter the ring... Be ready for a show.
-Yzl actually hates most sweet things. She has a really low sweet tolerance and prefers sour and bitter things.-Her mother is a seamstress in Weh'le. Yzl usually gets hand-made clothes from her on her birthday.-Yzl grew up without her father, but the two share a somewhat close relationship nowadays. The two travel all over Ionia, and often cross paths during large events.-While Yzl does frequent Navori's underground, she doesnt frequently fight. Instead, she spends a lot of time watching and betting on the fights, learning of the regulars--fighters and bidders both. She usually enters the ring when frustrated, or when asked to "give 'em a show"-Yzl has been outside Ionia a few times. Namely short trips to Piltover and a single trip to Shurima's coast.-As a child, she loved the Spirit Blossom festival and its tales. But now, its a more solemn event for her. As an adult, she now understands what the stories are about--and that the Spirit Blossom festival is for those that have passed. However, she still celebrates it. While she doesnt have anyone to leave offerings for, she will often leave offerings for others--especially those who may not have any living relatives in Weh'le.
